Get Started

  • Vitiligo

“What the fuck is that patch?”

  • Satanism

I don’t really mind the tropes of “holywood Satanism” as long as people realize its fake and we don’t actually sacrifice children

  • Only Child

I try to compensate with friends and cousins. I think I’m quicker to think of friends as chosen family than people with siblings are.

  • Dermatillomania

It was a relief to learn that I was not alone and that I was not a monster for picking at my skin.

  • Barefooters

It may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I would encourage people to just try it out. You don’t have to commit 100% and if you don’t like it you can still stick to shoes.

  • Dermatillomania

Shaming them or making fun of them does not help, it just makes them sneakier

  • Only Child

I can’t relate to the stereotypes about being spoiled, bossy or self-absorbed, they just don’t apply to me.

  • Asexual, LGBTQIA+

I’m a cishet guy. Asexual men are not discussed enough as a group. Growing up, I felt an immense amount of pressure to try and fit in with the “Sex-obsessed” man.

  • Dermatillomania

It impacted me emotionally and in my self image to the point I could not wear certain styles of clothing anymore.

  • Barefooters

It’s healthier, it’s better for you in the long term and also better for the people around you. Also it will save u a lot of money for shoes and socks.

  • Dermatillomania

I wish I could, you know, not have my skin be raw and painful all the time and not go through band-aids like a paper shredder.

  • Introverts

There are probably 100 unshared thoughts for everything I say out loud.

  • Dermatillomania

It can almost be like an addiction, so think of someone getting sober and how hard that is, for me that recovery is very similar to those struggling with any other addiction.

  • Dermatillomania

“Just stop” is something I’ve heard over and over. It’s definitely taken a toll on me by making it harder to open up to people or to even trust myself.

  • Barefooters

It’s a personal choice just like wearing a hat or not; wearing long pants or shorts; wearing a hoodie or a tank-top. Some people think bare feet look unpleasant, but that could be said about a lot of things.

  • Only Child

I’ve been more successful because I have been able to choose my own path without comparison.

  • Dermatillomania

I feel shameful when doing anything that involves my hands because I know others can see them.

  • Barefooters

My legs and ankles look awesome. I give way fewer fucks about what people think in general. I fall sleep easier thinking about the walks I recently had.

  • Only Child

You will find friends in life that love you and care for you like a sibling

  • Barefooters

It is funny that so many people respond to barefoot people with lectures about safety but it is not safety that drives me to put on shoes, it is always just to avoid confrontation from them.
