I often question whether i am really non-binary, or is it my identity just an effect of being overly sexual considered one of the defining characteristic of masculinity in popular culture

When I learned about the term I was like “ooooh, so that’s what I am”

Almost never
Have societal pressures ever made you question your own sexual desires or lack of it?
Sometimes, usually, when talking to my more distant family, mainly cousins, and unckles
Why do you think it’s difficult for some people to grasp the concept of asexuality?
I guess for many people it’s just something to distant from the Way they feel, where sexual attraction may even define they relations withe people of genders they’re sexually attracted/non attracted to, while other orientations are Just “the same thing but with other targeted population”
What are things about asexuality you wish people understood better?
Probably existance of difference between sexual, romantica and other attraction (I know it’s not strictly asexual matter, but it seems to be more prevalently known in aro/ace community, than any other)
Have you come out as asexual? If yes, how did you come out?
My friends (friend no. 1) roommate is openly asexual, and when she mentioned something about it, I Just said “oh nice, me to”.
How did people react to your coming out?
People Who were present there – rather positively

I have met a few interesting people there

Yes I was. It was quite nice, i even got an asexual sticker from someone who seen my flag.

Yes, especially in places less tolerant to sexual/gender minorities like my home country

They are a useful tool
How has having the asexual label benefited you?
Its embarassing, but before I learned what asexuality is i almost fallen into the whole incel/volcel hole, and I an so grateful I learned that it is a sexual orientation and not some societal/metal problem befor it could destroy my world view.
How do you feel about representation of asexuality in media?
There is not enough of it, and if it is, it can be qite damaging because it’s often done wrong
What are things to NOT say to an asexual person?
Mostly things invalidating their identity/experience and framing it as a phase/lack of experience/medical problem etc.
How involved would you say you are with the asexual community?
Not much – like in most communities i am usually mostly lurking

Very rarely – outside of pride paradę only once

As I said I learned about asexuality through “Bojack Horseman” which in my opinion have great asexual representation, so probably this show
