It’s nice, safe, clean, and friendly. Lots of green space and quiet area. Easy to travel.

Not bad, about the same as mid sized coastal cities in the US

Yes, tons of expats who are eager to make friends

Extremely safe
Does Luxembourg have lots of nature?
Yes, lots of nature everywhere. Beautiful forests with tons of hiking trails and nice bike trails.
Is English widely spoken?
Yes and no. In Luxembourg city, yes, almost everyone speaks English at all shops and restaurants. All government officials speak English, even in my little commune. Outside the city, it’s hit or miss, but often people speak enough English and I speak enough French that we get by.
Do you like the weather?
I do. It’s rarely too hot or too cold, very temperate. It doesn’t rain as much as I expected. Compared to where I am from in the USA (Seattle) the weather is better.
How is Luxembourgish cuisine?
Not sure. I usually eat Indian, pan-Asian, Mexican, Italian, or French food when I go out to eat.
What are your favorite Luxembourgish foods?
The pretzels and fried potatoes are good. Lux beer is good!
Does Luxembourg suffer any natural disasters? If Yes, how often?
Yes, last summer we had terrible floods. I think these are very rare.
How is tax in Luxembourg?
Better than other countries in Europe. Higher than the USA, but I feel it’s worth it for free medical care, good infrastructure, a social safety net, high level of safety, and free transportation.
How is the transportation system?
Great. It’s free and fast.
What do you think about the standard of education in Luxembourg?
Not sure, I don’t have children.

Probably football and than basketball.

Unsure

Compared to the USA and France, no. But, there are people of color here.
How is racism?
I believe it exists, but I am white so I don’t experience it’s negative effects.
Is corruption an existing issue in Luxembourg?
I don’t think so
Is Luxembourg LGBTQ friendly?
Yes. The PM is gay. Gay marriage is legal. My gay friends say they feel comfortable and not discriminated against

See the city, castles and Mullenthaller. Rent a bike and ride

What bothers you about Luxembourg?
Cost of buying property. People speculate on property and don’t sell it. Government doesn’t tax vacant land so there’s little incentive. Also, the government said they would legalize cannabis, which is legal for recreational use where I am from, but has failed to follow through on their commitment.
What’s your thought on Luxembourg’s politics? Do you think they are doing well?
It’s slow and steady. I wish we had a referendum process or other forms of direct democracy so issues could move faster.
What would you recommend to people who would like to live in Luxembourg?
Yes
Which city will you likely recommend to a foreigner to live? And why?
Most. I like the north and east parts of Luxembourg 15-30 minutes from the city.
What are the biggest misconceptions about Luxembourg?
It’s boring. Which is true if your idea of fun is clubbing and huge nightlife. But, there’s a lot of other things to do.
What are cons of living in Luxembourg?
It’s hard for me to feel like I can settle because the price of buying a home is so high. It’s difficult to become a citizen because you must pass a test for Luxembourgish, which is not spoken much in practical day-to-day life.
