Bisexual means that you like two genders.

Not to say that ladies suck, but I prefer men.

I wouldn’t say there’s a perfect split; there are folk like me who prefer men, other folks who’ll like women etc.

It’s not true

How do you feel about the notion that bisexuality is a trend or rite of passage?

It’s sometimes true, but not always. Being bi is a lot more than just a “trend.”

Why do you think so many people have such harsh judgements against people who identify as bisexual?

Because it’s more than one option

How do you feel about people who say bisexuals are transphobic?

Being bi doesn’t make you transphobic

How did you first discover bisexuality , or the bisexual community?

I found bisexuality alongside the other communities; it’s pretty standard.

Have you ever experienced internalized homophobia?

Quite a bit, especially regarding this label and my other ones. Since I’m more into one gender than the other, I worry that I need to like women more to be valid.

How often do you doubt your bisexuality?

Not much

How did you come to realise that you were bisexual?

I already knew that I liked men, but the first time I noticed how much I liked ladies was when I met her through one of my dad’s friends. She was gorgeous in the attractive sort of sense. So I accepted that I like women too making me bi.

How long have you identified as bisexual?

3 years

Have societal pressures ever made you question/suppress your sexuality?

I sometimes suppress myself, mainly due to what I think about myself.

How did you start to come to terms with your sexuality?

I’m not at that stage yet, but I hope to reach there with acceptance eventually

Has your understanding of bisexuality shifted since you first learned about it?

I know that it’s more than man and woman; I’m also starting to accept the term bi+

That it’s not straight

I can understand to some extent why my friends can like a person

What are your thoughts on dating apps?

I don’t use them, mainly because I’m demisexual

What are your thoughts on having kids? Do you plan to have kids someday?

I support adoption, but I don’t want kids of my own.

Are you religious? If so, how does your faith and queerness work together?

I’m an atheist; I don’t think about those two things together.

What effects does being bisexual have on your life?

I could fall for anyone at any time, it’s not a bad thing, but it also won’t always lead to the best outcome.

Do you consider yourself to be part of the LGBTQIA+ community?

Yes

I dislike it

Yes, I had fun

It helps me express my love of more than one gender

I like it, the most recent show I’ve watched with a bi character was able to express herself fully, and I’m happy for her.

You’re not bi

I’m not too involved outside of events

I’ve probably met at least one bi-person a month (pride group)

What’s it like being queer in your country/society?

It’s pretty easy; there are plenty of spaces to be queer and be accepted for being you.

Randy (TPB), Marceline (Adventure time) and Laura (Little Demon), to name a few characters.
