What does having dyscalculia entail?
Scared to pay tips , hate paying for stuff and having to figure out tips, dont know left from right, cant tell military time or analog time, cant use a ruler! Cant remember stiff, always scared being late cuz u dont know how long take u to get there so u are super early,

Figuring out timing, im a barber so getting paid is stressful rather they ise a card

Failing tested, summer school , not getting i to college level math, always sitting at kitchen table staring at paper , not understanding money has a number value

When my son was diagnosed with dyslexia! I learned more and at 50 was officially diagnosed and was relieved!

Is there anything you do that helps manage your dyscalculia?
Cell timer, my husband has a communication wall with calendars and puts the important stuff on it so i see it. Asking friends for help figuring stuff out. Bullet joirnal
Can you recall any big moments in your life that was shaped by having dyscalculia?
I failed a trst in boot camp and had to repeat a week. Taking a million tries to pass my advancement tests. Tho i knew the stuff

What is your general outlook on your disorder?
No one understands they think your slow!if there kid may have it they say “well he is smart” i am like yeah! I know me too!

I have some ptsd when it comes to filling out paper work! Or needing to call someone about life stuff like insurance and such! I will pay more just so i dont have to do that stuff

Yes i got let go a couple of times. I cant find a good job and have to rely on my artwork

They didnt give me a hard time with getting Cs.. put wouldnt let me leave table when doing homework and if they tried to teach me would get frustrated

I even took a college begginer math class that professor wrote to teach math with blocks was so embarrassing! I failed it and had to take it again. I was beinging is odds down. He prolly passed me the second time because of that. Cuz i still didnt get it
